87. SO FIERCE
IS LOVE
So fierce is love
Nothing is more fierce
Nothing is so fierce
in all the world
So fierce is love...
So will the mother
wren attack the squirrel
Or the mountain cat
or even the bear
Nothing in all the
world is as fierce as love...
She doesn't think
about it
So full is her mind
with joy
For offspring, for
mate, for the blessed winds of life
She soars through
storm and sun alike
Plays on rising air,
sings from her heart;
She is not of great
size
She has not claws
to rend
Nor teeth to rip
and tear
But all who truly
know her
Knows she has one
thing that is beyond all others
She is fierce
Nothing is more fierce
Nothing is so fierce
in all the world
Nothing is so fierce
as love.
