23. FOR LIGHT TO BLESS
Bare feet on a gravel road
She lay beside the river in the evening
In golden light she glowed
Everything took on some deeper meaning
Shadows deepened on our walk
As truths unfold in dark and light
We talked as friends talk
Aware of the approaching night
These then are womenfriends
With conversations deep and long
This art like heart, never ends
For those who share a heartsong.
Oh yes, she's nude.
An unclothed woman is erotic, yes
But in our souls we are not rude
Eden bodies live for light to bless.
Too much guilt
Hurts our hearts, sinks us low
The enormous walls we've built
Make it difficult for flowers to grow.
She's a river flower in the setting rays
Her golden spirit flowing free
Like life's river of nights and days
Flowing to the eternal sea
