67. FIRST SPARK
First spark of pure
blessing
Never extinquished
in all the history of time
Ye have lived through
every cruel storm
The human race has
ever encountered
Darkest nor coldest
could corode
This gold of soul
This motherheart
of knowing
In the beginning
When all pots were
broken
The potter could
clearly see
In some atoms the
perfect design
Refused to yield
to any distortion.
For the sake of these
loyal atoms
All things were spared
That these atoms
In time would restore
all things
A spark, an atom,
a star, a womb,
A child, a man, a
woman, a world.
