84. BEAUTY COMPARED
WITH FLOWER
So hot the day, so
delightful the shade,
The trickling stream
in which she laid
Mountain waters cold
with celestial powers
Amidst a field of
soft red flowers
North of Pianosa
in Colorado
Antoinette in mountain
meadow
So critical of themselves
the way they see,
These beautiful sisters
when they talk to me,
Like Toni who thought
her breasts were too small
For anyone to want
to photograph her nude at all I laughed!
Her point was moot
This photo was the
best one of the shoot
Breast or flower
-- which is more fine?
Which would go better
with red red wine?
Which bears best
lovely shadows of youth in its prime?
Which holds best
the heart to a rhyme?
The maiden wins,
though the flower is great
I wouldn't want to
suck the flower on a date
