ASTEROID TRAVELERS
![]() |
Sometimes I get to daydreaming And I get to thinking about a day far in the future When humanity has to abandon the planet earth For some terrible reason And so there is something like ten thousand refugees Flying towards a new solar system Many lightyears distant Inside a hollowed out asteroid Powered by nuclear fussion engines On a journey that will take them Several generations to complete... |
This asteroid spaceship contains all that remains of Humanity's hopes and dreams... There's farms inside, and animals of all sorts, And trees and grasses and lakes and rivers... There's parrots flying and other birds And there's even pairs of whales and dolphins... And there's libraries full of books and art... Memories of earth To help them set their dreams And the dreams of their children On the right course And among these many books will be a copy of Goddessheart Photography by Thomas Holme... I wonder... |
